Justin is confronted at home and brusquely told he must marry Ms. Shepherd and to "know your place" because he's the adopted son. Minutes later he's summoned for trouble; a room isn't ready and he rushes in. At the scene he meets a gentle woman, prompting someone to hire him as her caregiver—Scott will handle payments. The employer orders, "Give me a bath." Justin balks—"Aren't you a caregiver?"—but complies. Ms. Whiting stays in the house, leaving Justin to begin intimate care while the household's demands remain unresolved.
