As others realize gods like Quinn exist and a deity returns to Heaven with Kenn, they arrive at Heaven, and her attempt to summon and judge the gods is left unresolved.

Villagers of Egron beg the gods for rain, food and the return of taken children as Askil soldiers cause famine. Their nonstop pleas set the episode's crisis. At the Askil temple, priests report that Askil's prayers are waning and plan to tell His Majesty to withhold rain as judgment, seeing Egron's unrest as an opportunity to force worship. Midway through these calculations, witnesses say a woman has risen from the World Tree via the Styx bridge — a vengeful soul unseen for millennia. Her arrival interrupts prayers and plans, leaving the city at an uncertain crossroads.

A deceased woman petitions Heaven for justice after being betrothed to Kendall before she died. She accuses Kendall of cheating with Quinn, says Quinn drove her mother to suicide and that 73 family members were killed by Quinn's divine interference. The gods listen, dismiss mortal suffering as cyclical rebirth, and reveal Kendall and Quinn are Chosen Ones under their realm. A god warns Taella will reappear, and the gods call a council to address that threat rather than her case. She insists she endured trials to reach Heaven and demands justice; her plea is left unresolved as the council convenes.

Rhys returns to find Taella revived; she doesn't remember him. Exposition explains Hell's three great demons—Taella, Girgyn, Rhys—were broken after war with the gods: Taella annihilated, Girgyn slumbering, Rhys guarding Styx and waiting. In Heaven, gods alarmed by Taella's revival equip Quinn and Kendall with relics, Cometfell and the Moon Harp, to kill Taella before full demonhood. But the relics won't work yet; their power awakens only if a holder fully turns into a demon. The episode ends as someone confronts Rhys: "What're you doing here?"

A mortal woman who sacrificed her luck to help Kenn's ascent confronts the gods in Heaven, demanding why her family died and why her luck was taken. As she resists, her resentment begins to turn her into a demon. The gods urge Kenn to act — "Kill her." Louise Jones loses her fiancé Kendall when Quinn Thompson lures him with promises of godhood, triggering the ruin of the Jones family. Consumed by vengeance, Louise storms Heaven for justice and is cast down by the gods. In despair she plunges into the Styx and awakens as the demon god Taella. With her companion she seeks to rouse the sleeping demon Girgyn, but the gods hunt them and they flee into Girgyn’s dreamscape. Quinn and Kendall pursue; their unresolved obsessions backfire and unknowingly help awaken Girgyn. As Girgyn stirs, Taella reunites with the great demons Girgyn and Rhys, and their return shatters the fragile balance, forcing the divine realm to tremble.
