Presented with a system quest, the Host is promised generous rewards—a Spatial Ring among them—if he establishes a romantic relationship with Yara, a zombie, by kissing her. The system says this will help him pursue his target; the Host reacts with disbelief and disgust, curses the system and his past life, yet admits he will sacrifice his dignity just this once to claim half the rewards. He steels himself to go through with the kiss. Just as he's about to act, someone shouts "Duck", interrupting the moment and leaving his decision and the reward hanging.
