The mecha Skyx, damaged and slated for decommission, faces a monster attack on the base while piloted by Faye Bass, his last active partner. Despite his failing core and phantom pain from neural syncing, Skyx defends the base alone against towering hybrid monsters that evolve from smaller T-2s. During a fierce battle, Skyx unexpectedly takes control, saving Faye from fatal damage but worsening his own condition. As two more hybrids approach and Skyx struggles with overheating and injury, Faye refuses to retreat. The episode ends with Skyx losing sync control once again just as the second hybrid closes in, leaving their survival in question.
