Captured after a failed operation, a woman remains alive because her brainwaves are still quantum-linked with her captors' Mental Power. The captors decide killing her now would damage them, so they lock her in a disturbance cell, suppress her abilities, and schedule a lethal extraction back at their base. They order her to behave and stay put. Moments later an alert announces, "Insight Eyes activated!" and someone reacts in surprise. The sudden activation interrupts the plan and leaves the extraction—and the woman's fate—immediately unresolved.
