A captive woman is cornered at a gathering where Alex forces a "gift" on her, saying if she drinks her husband will have to watch him get intimate with her. Bystanders, someone shouting "Let her go!", Mr. Thomson, and Mr. Ryan plead for release. Alex pushes the scene, asking Mr. Thomson's approval and telling Mr. Ryan to "do as you see fit," claiming his actions will restore their family's standing. Accusations that Mr. Thomson ruined the family erupt. As pleas fail, Alex moves closer and says, "Babe, I can't wait any longer," leaving her fate unresolved.
