Yadiel, a refugee, stands before hungry villagers promising to trade a pile of trash for food. He pleads, "Just trust me this once," and one man refuses to sell his wife and daughter but says he believes Yadiel. Skeptics quickly shut him down, calling the goods worthless and accusing him of trickery. A villager reveals Yadiel is his nephew and claims Yadiel doesn't care if his grandma lives or dies, which turns the crowd against him. Anger escalates and Fernando threatens to "chop that punk into pieces," leaving Yadiel facing mob distrust and imminent violence.
