Half a Pendant and Imposter Wife - Episode 5

An older man angrily confronts a visiting family in his house; young Mike refuses to greet his elders unless the old man buys him ice cream. The elders scold Mike's manners while Joyce and Mike's father defend him, pointing to award certificates and announcing he will compete in the National Youth Calligraphy Competition tomorrow. The grandfather inspects Mike's hands, finds no callus and accuses Joyce of lying. The episode closes with the elder declaring, "I'll go watch it tomorrow," turning the competition into the immediate test of Mike's claims.
