In a motel room a young woman is handed money and told to change—she's being pushed to seduce Louis Brown as part of a scheme. Rachel learns protesters splashed red paint on Dr. Stone's gate and accuse Norah Stone of abandoning a surgery. The caller reveals they altered Rachel's brother's records and says only their uncle can save him, effectively planning his funeral. Desperate, they decide to win Louis Brown—who controls medical resources—to save Chris. She goes to meet Mr. Brown, but he proves harder to sway, leaving Chris's fate hanging.
