At a family banquet, Fabian presents Mr. Kirk Senior with a jadeite thumb ring said to be a royal heirloom, as a token of gratitude from Kaia, who was raised by the Kirks. However, Mr. Kirk Senior immediately accuses Fabian of giving a fake ring, sparking tension and insults from others. Fabian insists the ring is genuine, but Mr. Kirk Senior claims only one such ring can exist and his is the original heirloom worth billions. To settle the dispute, they agree to have both rings appraised. The episode ends with the looming threat that Fabian will face severe consequences if his ring is proven fake.
