I Refuse to Be a Son-in-Law - Episode 2

An outsider from the mountains demands to see Mr. Sean Lynch but is rebuked by Mrs. Lynch and the Lynch family for being socially unfit to marry their daughter. After the family boasts its status and rejects him, he refuses escalating cash offers and declares, "I'm calling off the engagement." Insulted and angry, the Lynches decide to pay him $2 million and instruct their people to teach him a lesson and force him out of Havertry. The episode closes with the family determined he will never return, leaving his fate and response unresolved.
