Searching for answers about her missing boyfriend, she learns the daily messages she trusted were fake: Carson admits, "I sent them," explaining John was infected. She also learns her friends died trying to save her; her mother breaks down. The episode ends with an off-screen cry of "Wife?", an abrupt, unresolved arrival.
