Ms. Sawyer wakes exhausted after a wild night while the man showers. Mrs. Johnson, unable to reach Ms. Sawyer, sends people to bring her to the Civil Affairs Bureau to register with Mr. Xander before 9. Ms. Sawyer struggles and shouts, "I said I'm not marrying him!" as attendants try to force her toward the bureau entrance. They haul her toward a car and the deadline looms, when someone at the scene suddenly cries, "It's you!"—stopping the procession and leaving the forced registration unresolved.
