Magic Rivals - Episode 2

The episode opens with a confrontation at a banquet between the protagonist and a man named Kaizer, her childhood friend and lifelong rival. Kaizer, a powerful pure-blood wizard, reveals he knows her family's potion workshop is in crisis and that her father plans to marry her off to secure help. He offers his own assistance, which she proudly rejects, resenting his effortless superiority that has always overshadowed her achievements. The episode climaxes with Kaizer provocatively suggesting marriage, to which she sarcastically retorts. It ends with him proposing they make a different kind of deal, leaving their tense negotiation unresolved.
