Quinn Neal, a countryside tutor hired to raise $200,000 for his grandmother's surgery, tutors Julian Ford, the son of Kingston's richest man. In this episode Julian resists studying, prefers to 'collect trash,' and pushes back while Quinn presses memorization. Quinn's coaching improves Julian's grades but also triggers complaints and evasions. During a pushy lesson someone brings up Quinn's grandmother to elicit a reaction. The scene flips when a voice suddenly yells, 'You liar, stop right there!' — the claim is challenged and the immediate fallout remains unresolved.
