Helen plans to open a cosmetics shop in the city's heart, selling a 'skin perfector'—ceramide—but the prime location needs approval and money. The site is a former spy meeting spot her husband, Prince Joseph, exposed, and Prince Ben, who runs Imperia's defense, must sign off. Short on funds, Helen considers offering to fix the shop's defense as leverage. Her adviser warns that showing competence will make Ben suspect her and urges her to play the lovelorn Consort, hide her smarts and flatter him.
