During an art class a veiled visitor is mistaken for someone else until a student calls out Paul. The teacher warns the upcoming exam is crucial and reveals the delivery man used to be a top student who 'went in a different direction' after the exam. He says he left because his master took him abroad for ten years, not due to pressure. Classmates mock an art student reduced to delivery work. When he drops a piece of art, students cry 'amazing' - his talent vindicated, but the teacher hushes the class and resumes drawing, leaving his next move unresolved.
