At court, a man warns the Queen that her champion, Alex, is a liar and a wolf spy, his weapon merely an ordinary blade. As the werewolf army attacks and the gates fail, the queen refuses to flee, vowing to fight. Suddenly, the wolves retreat, forcing the man to admit his mistake. Later, despite having no time, the Queen abruptly changes her mind upon hearing the invitation is from Duchess Amy, rushing to attend her rival's banquet with a declaration to see what could surpass her own vast lands.
