Cassandra is forcibly married to Lord Abel, provoking the God of War. The War God confronts her, accusing her of marrying to clear the way for him and another woman, Leah. Cassandra retorts that this was what he wanted. He declares that no matter whom she marries, she belongs solely to him. As he seizes her, Leah arrives and demands he release Cassandra. Cassandra, injured and frightened, receives a cryptic compliment on her performance from an unseen observer.
