Buried in his car after a mudslide, Zack struggles two days without signal and dwindling oxygen. He plans to push a hollow tube through the soil to bring in air or alert passersby, but fears the pipe will clog. On the surface, people at the site confront rescue personnel: the disaster is massive, teams are short-handed, the route is blocked and a second collapse is possible. After three days and grim odds, the rescue leader declares the operation too dangerous and calls off the rescue, leaving Zack’s survival unresolved as air runs out.
