A man demands to see a crystal, but his call to a woman named Seraphina is abruptly hung up, angering him. Meanwhile, Seraphina's mother and brother dismiss her, accusing her of being with fallen angels. However, Seraphina's grandmother, Elara, is alarmed that Seraphina's daily messages have stopped for a week and insists something is wrong. Seraphina's mother scoffs and ends the call, leaving Elara devastated and alone in her concern for her missing granddaughter.
