Haven Ware, a food delivery guy who crossed into Blue Star, wakes to be inspected and sold at a slave roundup. Two noble sisters, Anna and Alicia Judd, buy him; one says her sister must marry Baron Gillian in three days but the Baron is seventy and infertile, so she wants Haven to make her sister pregnant. A system UI marks Anna and Alicia as targets and ties rewards to increasing their favorability. Haven resists, then agrees to serve; Anna's favor jumps and he receives a Primary Favorability Chest. He now faces the immediate task of winning the sisters' favor.
Haven opens a Primary Chest and gains Rank 1 Physical Enhancement; the system notes Anna's emotional fluctuation and her favorability rises. At the baron's estate, Anna and Alicia race to secure the future: the 70-year-old baron's death would hand the title to his nephew unless Anna bears an heir. The women identify the new slave, Haven, as a candidate for an unspecified task and decide his reward or dismissal will depend on performance. Maids are ordered to bathe and watch him; he’s awkward but notices the change in himself. Someone finally asks, "You're Haven?", leaving his fate unresolved.
A new male slave arrives and immediately clashes with Harpy, the manor’s head male slave. Harpy warns him to stay away from the two ladies who bought him and insists he is the only man allowed near them. The newcomer refuses to submit; their confrontation escalates into a physical threat as Harpy reasserts control and declares he makes the rules. A system prompt records Anna’s favorability rising by 5 (to 37). Servants rush to Miss Judd, demanding she teach the newcomer a lesson, leaving him facing immediate punishment and an uncertain fate.
Miss Judd punishes Harpy after he attacks a senior: she strips him of his post and sends him to the northern watermelon fields. A slave who spoke out of turn is unexpectedly promoted to head slave and given command over all male slaves. Meanwhile a strong, good-looking man surprises others with a powerful strike; some whisper he could be an Awakener while others angrily deny it. The reassigned slave worries about losing access to the ladies. They decide to report the Awakener suspicion to Lord Jax, and one person immediately departs to find him, promising rewards.
Miss Judd is summoned and told by Haven she must get his sister pregnant in exchange for freedom, threatened with scissors if she resists. Alicia, stuck on guard duty, learns Lord Jax has arrived with men demanding to see Anna. Ordered to stop him, Alicia confronts Jax at the gate. He mocks the household, points out Miss Judd as an Eastern slave and presses for entry. The baron's men move to seize Alicia for blocking them. As Jax's forces close in, the estate braces for a violent showdown that will determine access to Anna.
A confrontation erupts in the manor when a slave openly opposes a noble; the noble orders him seized, broken and fed to the dogs. Anna intervenes—she praises the slave, raises his favorability and temporarily frees him. Later the household erupts in fury, convinced two women will have a child with the slave and steal a title. With the Countess of the North due in two days they plan to catch the women and the Eastern slave 'red-handed,' deciding to lure him out and punish him if he resists, leaving his fate in doubt.
Anna opens a chest; the system upgrades her to Rank 2 and orders her to claim a mysterious reward 5 km northwest of the manor within an hour. Confident her power has surged, she heads into the Mist. Meanwhile a report reaches a lord: the Countess of the North's convoy was attacked and is missing, and a subordinate urges using the required town search to conscript 'that slave.' Inside the Mist Anna finds only water, is set upon by beasts, and is pulled to safety by a stranger. The reward's nature and the town's scheme end the episode unresolved.
Haven wakes unconscious in the back hills and is found and given water at an estate in Blackstone Town. A slave who found him says he's free, but before he can process it Jax bursts in with men, announcing the Countess was attacked and is missing. Jax says the Baron ordered a mountain-wide search and demands cooperation. The estate is told to hand Haven over: "Make him follow me into the mountains." The episode ends with Haven—just freed moments earlier—compelled to join the search, his freedom revoked and fate unresolved.
A confrontation erupts at the manor after the Countess likely goes missing in the Mist. Nobles accuse Alicia and Haven of consorting with a man described as a slave and warn that the Baron's uncle will be informed. Haven vows to go into the mountains, but rivals mock him, boast ten knights and a Rank 1 Awakener, and threaten to kill him. Despite protests, they seize the slave to scout ahead into the Mist. The episode ends with the slave dragged off and Alicia and Haven left exposed to the Baron's wrath, their fate unresolved.
When townspeople mock a young man as a slave, a woman defends him and says, 'From today on, Haven is the Viscount of Blackstone Town.' Skeptical bystanders call her mad and summon guards to seize them. A token reveals the Countess of the North, who insists she appointed Haven. Accusers claim she was missing after being attacked in the Mist and plot to silence her. They panic that the truth will doom them, shout 'Kill this b*tch,' and promise a thousand gold to each guard. Guards move in, leaving Haven's title unproven and the Countess's fate hanging.
