001

In a flashback, the father chooses to take his stepson Daniel out alone on the daughter's birthday, cruelly rejecting her pleas to join them. The young girl is left stranded on a leaky, drifting boat in a storm, using a magic conch to desperately call for her absent father, who ignores her cries while comforting his stepson.
