The Country Scholar Who Conquered the Capital - エピソード 1

Willa, a top student whose score won't get her into elite schools, suddenly learns she's the daughter of a wealthy capital family. Escorted to their mansion, she receives a cold welcome: relatives accept her only conditionally—Mrs. Stanton and the elder brothers warn that if she 'crosses' them she'll be cut off when she reaches adulthood. Willa insists she'll focus on the capital exams, but relatives mock and scheme to test her. The episode ends with her leaving for the exams under conditional acceptance, her future in the family unresolved.
