When Mason says escape is impossible, his father reveals a tattoo: the prison's structural blueprint. He confesses he designed the prison twenty years ago before being blacklisted, so he knows the drainage, power, and surveillance layouts and which walls are hollow. Mason panics; the father urges, "Mason, trust me." The revelation flips their hopelessness into a risky plan. With the blueprint on his skin and time running out, they must exploit those weaknesses before execution.
