In a crowded mess hall a spilled pot scalds a worker’s arm; he begs an officer for treatment but is shoved aside and threatened with a gun. Staff force others to sit and eat while an older man apologizes for a reflexive reaction. At a security checkpoint the metal detector suddenly alarms and guards order a search. The episode ends as the urgent search begins, leaving the planned breakout in immediate jeopardy.
