At a social gathering Libby’s crush Alonzo sparks a scene when a man cries "it hurts" and guests ask, "Are you Libby's boyfriend?" They reveal Libby used to be obsessed with Alonzo and her boyfriend has found out; Libby vows to make it up. They plan one person to drive the husband's car while Libby and her boyfriend take a cab. Later, a woman thanks her ex for sending the "pretty boy" and is stunned he's staying; someone who's been "a year in the dark" appears, leaving everyone unsure what he'll do next.
