Under pressure from his grandfather to marry, a man named Lloyd reluctantly agrees. His grandfather's assistant presents the chosen bride: Naomi, the eldest granddaughter of the wealthy Smith family. Lloyd openly questions the choice, but the assistant insists Naomi's business skills and the family's all-female lineage make her ideal. Defying the arrangement, Lloyd announces he will choose his own wife from the Smith family and, with two companions, infiltrates their household disguised as job applicants. They sneak in, but are immediately caught when a staff member stops them, stating only female nannies are being hired.
