Sylvan is found after five years wandering and homeless; relatives confront the person who brought him in and demand to know what happened. Vanessa admits she was ordered by Chris—the new head of the Johnson family who hates Sylvan—to humiliate him and send videos, insisting she's innocent. Anger flares; one family member shouts, "I'll cut him into pieces!" but another calms them and urges checking Sylvan's condition first. They decide to take Sylvan to the hospital, scramble to load bags and the car, and speed off—leaving Vanessa's confession and Chris's feud as the unresolved threat.
