Theo Grant is dying. He pushes Chloe Jayne away, convinced love would only tether her to his decline. To secure her future he volunteers as a test subject for the richest man's experimental drug, a sacrifice meant to buy Chloe a safer life. Three years pass before fate reunites them. Theo's prognosis hasn't changed, so he shields Chloe again, folding love into distance. Chloe refuses to let go; her devotion collides with his self-imposed exile. Each reunion turns into a fragile battleground of hope and resignation. In a final confrontation with fate, they face loss, fear, and the cost of sacrifice, and decide, despite the odds, to stop running and choose love and presence over pain.
