After finishing his work, Leon approaches a woman, hinting at intimacy, which she fiercely rejects, telling him to go to Daisy instead and calling her his sister. He accuses her of jealousy before she declares the choice is made and says a final goodbye to him. Elsewhere, Henry writes that he is rushing to meet her after learning she left early. The woman, addressed as Princess Spare, departs as a maid wishes her well. Later, Leon feels uneasy and learns from a servant that the princess cannot be found, leaving him shocked by her sudden disappearance.
