After a prison interrogation where staff threaten to increase the voltage to force a confession, inmate No. 0927 — James Lynn — is unexpectedly bailed out by his family and brought home. He begs his mother and Rosetta to believe him, insisting Jasper poisoned their grandfather. At a family confrontation, Jasper’s attorney presents collected evidence and files an intentional murder suit against James. In court the judge cites solid evidence and convicts James of intentional injury, sentencing him to ten years. As officers move in, someone says, "James, we are here to take you home," leaving his fate sealed.
