Jennifer Lynn is a respected surgeon whose family is torn. A misunderstanding with Jack's father left her resenting her biological son Jack and favoring her adopted son, Matthew Zane, the child of a former lover. When Matthew hits Jack with a car, Jack bleeds internally and is rushed to the hospital. Doctors call Jennifer for consent to operate, but she refuses to accept the severity. Losing hope, Jack gives up. Matthew finds Jack's organ-donation form and secretly alters it to authorize full donation. Desperate to save Matthew, Jennifer approves a transplant.
