Bryan Taylor and a desperate father arrive at Mr. Miller's butcher shop, begging the man to return as the 'Legendary Gambler' to save the father's son, Reuben, who was framed into a high‑stakes game. The son signed a deadly contract and now faces losing his hands and feet unless he wins a rematch by tonight; the father even staked Ironbriar for a second chance. Mr. Miller resists—holiday plans and family duty—but, indebted to the father and for an unborn granddaughter, agrees and goes to the Emperor Suite at Luxrow Club. At home, Carmen tells her father something happened to Reuben.
