At a social event Lucy stands close to Andrew while her husband Cody waits outside, prompting jealous jibes and uneasy explanations. A man confronts Lucy, accusing her of loving Andrew, not him, and declares the charade over. Grandpa abruptly orders Cody to disappear in three days. Pressured, Cody tells Mr. Owen he’s decided to leave, admitting he stayed only because of Owen’s ties to Ms. Jagger. With the award ceremony announced and Ms. Jagger urging everyone to hurry, Cody’s imminent exit becomes a tight, unresolved deadline that everyone must now race to meet.
