Staff confront Vera about a breaker-room incident; she insists she didn't tamper with equipment and brings Milo as a witness. With one day until the predicted apocalypse and the city's power out, Dr. Freud and others scramble for a solution. They learn the hospital hides a Holy Scion — a Spiritstone Ape blessed by the Sanctified Sage that can become a giant ape. They identify a boy who howled and called himself the Sanctified Sage as the candidate. One member demands, "Take me to him now!" The episode ends with them rushing to locate and awaken him, the outcome unresolved.
