After Arion Black bursts into a meeting without knocking, a shaken Headmaster is confronted by two people who accuse Arion of being a monster, claiming a demonic figure with red eyes stood behind him, untouchable by their attacks. The Headmaster dismisses them, demanding secrecy. Later, at a Royal Trial where noble heirs fight magical beasts to prove their bloodline, Arion's turn arrives. Taunted that he wouldn't last ten seconds, his name is called as whispers circulate that this will be the day House Black perishes.
