Building a Future I Once Gambled Away - Episode 1

At a noisy party Sharon flirts with newcomer Zach, then narrates how in a previous life she was taken in by the Ellis family, lost her place when their real daughter Sherry returned, and later seduced Zach into marriage. She admits she didn't cherish their child. Debt collectors storm her home with sticks; Sharon hides, insisting they will only find Zach and the child. Sherry's men locate Zach and beat him to death. The episode ends with Sharon screaming "Zach!" over his battered body, the scene frozen and her choices unresolved.
