A man returns with cash and insists he didn't gamble, but his wife Sharon remains suspicious. He claims other ways to earn, gives her money, then reveals he used part to pay Sherry's medical fee and slapped Sherry to avenge Sharon after intruders barged in. He vows to protect her and pleads, "forget about divorcing me." Then Sharon's father arrives to take Zach home. Zach pleads Sharon will change; a quick check shows injuries healed and others fuss over his looks. Zach's hesitation to leave leaves the family's future unsettled.
