At an upscale dinner, John Chandler reconnects with old classmates and wins a business lead; Ms. Zimmer books him a suite. Back home his roommate Joyce fusses over him and urges him to focus on his startup. A late call from his father reveals his mother is dying and John can’t get back in time — “too late.” Devastated, he mutters, “If everything could start over...” The scene abruptly flips: John wakes up in the Riverton High dorm. Classmates jolt him with the taunt, “the most ridiculous toad,” and demand, “What are you performing later?” — leaving him thrown into an unexpected reset.
