Ms. Watkins receives a call: the paternity test is back and "that child really is my brother's." She tells Karsen to wait in his office and hurries over, setting up an urgent confrontation. Elsewhere, a well-dressed woman humiliates a poor woman who insists on dignity, calling her a "filthy little beggar," ordering her to kneel and apologize, and threatening violence—"this dress of mine is worth more than your life," even vowing to rip her mouth open. The episode ends with the victim subdued and the paternity revelation and public assault left unresolved.
