Ms. Wagner examines Chief Commander Benjamin Gilmore and finds him riddled with severe wounds. Most injuries look fatal; though the surface healed, internal damage is compounding and slowing his martial advancement. Her teacher will arrive tomorrow to treat him; she urges rest. Later a bulletin announces Gilmore will host a victory feast tomorrow to celebrate his only son, Zachary Gilmore's return. With treatment delayed and the public ceremony imminent, it's unclear whether Benjamin can host the celebration or if Zachary can carry the weight of such glory.
