Don't Mess with the Empress-Judge - Episode 1

Wendy is nailed into a coffin by her father, who calls her a bastard and says the nails will complete the Wight's Bane to send vengeful spirits against Morvran Manor and protect the Crown Prince. Janice is forced into marriage as a dowry; the father orders her to burn a wooden spike after the wedding to eliminate the Prince's threat. The coffin is sealed and, despite townspeople calling a Ghost Festival wedding unlucky, the bridal procession moves toward the manor. Inside, Wendy cries out as the Wight's Bane ritual nears completion, leaving her fate unresolved.
