Keira Stone arrives at Belmont Prep, an exclusive prep school filled with wealthy students, as the newest scholarship student. She faces initial curiosity and subtle exclusion, especially when Elly, another scholarship student and the class president, is introduced as a confident insider. Keira tries to fit in and aims to attract the attention of a prominent student, Asher Carter, hoping it will secure her future. Elly is assigned to show Keira around, but tension rises as other students question Elly's swift rise to class president and wonder how two scholarship students will coexist.
