Lord Brandon is ordered to leave after three years when officials locate Frank Zimmer's sister, Jasmine. He vows to honor his fallen comrade by caring for Jasmine and asks someone to inherit his skills; Zander bids him farewell. As Brandon departs, routine problems and a hospital summons interrupt his exit. At the hospital Ms. Lewis reports Jasmine had a nosebleed, then fainted, and doctors now suspect acute leukemia. The key turn replaces a planned handover with an urgent medical crisis, leaving Brandon's promise and immediate plans thrown into doubt as the diagnosis hangs unresolved.
