Jonah insists on seeing Elaine and leads the girl to the elder, who has developed dementia and barely recognizes visitors. Family members note the girl's uncanny resemblance to young Elaine and listen as Elaine murmurs, "you've grown so old," leaving the girl's identity and fate unresolved.
