At Grace Mercy Hospital Dr. Coco Joyce finds a newborn abandoned in a waste bin and traces the baby by DNA to Steele. The family hails an unexpected heir and blames Ruby, a janitor who allegedly slept with him ten months ago. Someone claims, "Thank goodness I stole him," and orders a citywide lockdown to locate the mother. Steele demands to know why she left, and Dr. Joyce is named hospital director—yet the mother's whereabouts remain unknown as the search escalates.
