At an office entrance a woman pleads with Mr. Lind after a man crashed his own car and blamed her; Mr. Lind orders the man's car sent to the garage and to 'teach him a lesson,' defending her. At home his daughter Nia insists on attending an important bidding event despite his warning about VIPs from Apex Corp. Nia sneaks into the auction but organizers threaten to call the police. Mr. Lind arrives and says, 'I'm her dad,' stopping her ejection and embarrassing the guests. The public claim protects Nia but raises the stakes at the VIP auction.
