Back at the palace, a sister returned from Northo is handed a plain outfit but is publicly humiliated by Princess Holly, who taunts her about a 'dirty outfit' and the soldiers who abused her. Carol defends the woman and shocks the court by claiming she saw Princess Holly kill Princess Natasha, declaring, "I must tell His Majesty the truth." Meanwhile Valerie refuses a silk dress and is reprimanded by their mother. Grandmother sides with Valerie and demands she recount "what happened earlier," setting up a looming, unresolved accusation against Holly.
