A gift to cover Megan’s wound sparks a confrontation when a man yells, “He doesn't get to give anything to my girl!” and accuses Mr. Stone of arranging a plan to have someone approach and seduce Alaric. The household leader orders Sawyer to treat the seduction as merely for show and warns him not to cross the line. To avoid confusion when Diana (Ms. Beck) returns, Megan’s belongings are packed and she’s sent to stay in Nocturne for a few days. Megan leaves apologetic and unsettled, unsure if the staged plot will stay controlled.
